PARALEGAL (Feb/2026)

Qualifications
- Legal Assistant/Paralegal Certificate or Diploma from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of Plaintiff Personal Injury experience
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required; additional languages are a strong asset
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage a high-volume personal injury caseload with efficiency and accuracy
- Prepare, draft, and revise legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with minimal direction, including Statements of Claim
- Coordinate and manage document flow between internal teams, clients, medical providers, insurers, and opposing counsel
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, medical providers, insurance companies, and opposing counsel
- Proactively follow up on outstanding items to keep files moving forward
- Complete undertakings and manage productions autonomously
- Request, track, and follow up on medical records and related documentation
- Maintain and utilize limitation and reminder systems to ensure deadlines are met
- Assist with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders
- Support preparation for questionings and briefs as required
- Perform court searches, schedule applications, questionings, and court dates
- Coordinate independent medical examinations and retain experts
- Maintain exceptional file organization, proofreading accuracy, and appointment scheduling
Skills & Competencies
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple deadlines
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-volume practice
- Professional, clear, and confident communication skills

This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile litigation matters alongside some of Alberta’s most accomplished litigators. Our firm is recognized nationally for excellence in advocacy, strategy and client service.
About the Role
As a member of our litigation team, you will manage a diverse range of civil, commercial and alternative dispute resolution files. You will collaborate closely with senior counsel on major matters while maintaining responsibility for your own files appropriate to your level of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and advance litigation files with professionalism and independence.
- Assist senior counsel with complex commercial disputes and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and appear in Court as required.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to our collaborative team culture.
Qualifications
- LL.B. or J.D., and active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta.
- 2–7 years of commercial litigation experience.
