Commercial Litigation Associate – Calgary
Verjee Law is seeking talented Commercial Litigation Associates to join our growing Calgary office.
This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile litigation matters alongside some of Alberta’s most accomplished litigators. Our firm is recognized nationally for excellence in advocacy, strategy and client service.
About the Role
As a member of our litigation team, you will manage a diverse range of civil, commercial and alternative dispute resolution files. You will collaborate closely with senior counsel on major matters while maintaining responsibility for your own files appropriate to your level of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and advance litigation files with professionalism and independence.
- Assist senior counsel with complex commercial disputes and trial preparation.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings and appear in Court as required.
- Support business development initiatives and contribute to our collaborative team culture.
Qualifications
- LL.B. or J.D., and active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Alberta.
- 2–7 years of commercial litigation experience.
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Highly motivated, organized, and team-oriented with a strong commitment to client service.
